Hello! You may have seen by now that I posted a World Race update, one that I never thought I would, but it’s funny when I chose to not do it my way, look what happened! If you would have asked me when I came home from the field six months ago where I would be have said “working at a camp” and I thought that’s what the plan was. Funny when things don’t go to plan. I spent 10 months living a life where things didn’t go to plan, everyday something changed and I just had to say “okay God what are you doing here?” And here I am, sitting in Eaton Rapids, MI asking the same thing – “okay God what are you doing here?”

Basically in 12 days I will be headed down to Gainesville, Georgia to lead a team for the October route. Their route looks a little different than the classic route I experienced last year. We will be serving in AMERICA! This pumps me up because America is a part of the kingdom as much as all of the other countries Adventures in Missions (AIM) sends racers to!

Where will we be going? What will we be doing? DRUM ROLL!

THE MIDWEST!! Hey, it truly is the BEST!

First, CHICAGO! We will work with Park Community Church! Park Church works directly with people from the 10/40 window (the part of the world with the most unreached people groups aka UPGs) and trains people in how to serve in the 10/40 window long term! Park Community will welcome us to do inner city ministry, evangelism and so much more with them! This is so exciting to me because I have friends that pastor at Park! The ministry going on there is WILD!

Next up, WISCONSIN! We will be heading to Wisconsin Dells to work with Bridgepoint Church and Bella Goose Coffee as they do ministry in their community. Wisconsin Dells is known for its water parks and resorts, because of this, a lot of international students come to work there! We’ll get to interact with these students as well as serve in food banks and other projects in the community. They have a heart for missions stateside so I am excited to work with a team that is passionate about this!

After these two states is where I will leave my team. They will then raise up a racer to lead the team when they go international in January! As a team leader (TL) I will have the opportunity to cultivate community amongst the team and serve alongside my team in their ministry each day. This is something that is very stretching for me, and again I say “God, hey,  what are you doing here?” He has made it clear that this is the next step in our walk and I can’t wait to see what He has in store in Georgia, Chicago, and the Dells for everyone we come in contact with!

So, where do we go from here? In 12 days I will be headed down to Georgia, it doesn’t seem real, but it is very real! No need to pinch me! I just want to thank you all so much for your prayers over the last year and a half (and for some even before then) and that they are continuing. Please continue to pray for protection against COVID (AIM has a lot set in place for this), for open hearts and minds, and for the racers beginning their WR journey in just a few weeks! If you would like to partner with me financially it cost about $2,000 for me to go out and lead a team now, if you would like to give you can do so by Venmo – kristinjuneWR, paypal – [email protected], or a tax deductible gift when my blog is all set up for this trip by clicking the donate button. It should be ready by Friday!

Just, thanks again! I never would have pictured this blog getting posted, but here we are ready to do this thing! Let’s do it together! <3 KJ
