Nepal seems amazing, not to mention we will be experiencing snow for the first time in eight months. This girl from the mitten might be really excited, but I might not be, we will see haha! We may be trekking through the Himalayans and sharing the gospel with other trekkers or going to indigenous tribes along the mountains which would be so “cool” 🙂

Unique Animals:
Red Panda. Scientific name: Ailurus Fluggen
LOOK HOW CUTE!!! Red pandas look more like raccoons and are slightly larger than a domestic house cat (they even have feline-like whiskers), growing to about 19.6-24.8 inches length and weighing up to 13 pounds. They are skillful climbers that, when not foraging on the ground, spend most of their time in the trees curled up with their long, bushy tails wrapped around their heads. A thick reddish-brown fur offers additional protection from the cold, often harsh, mountain weather.
Special Foods: Momo—Tibetan style dumplings with Nepalese spices—are one of the most popular foods in Nepal. They were originally filled with buffalo meat but now also with goat or chicken, as well as vegetarian preparations.
Cool Geography:
-
There are more than 30 natural caves in the country out of which only a few are accessible by road.
-
The country can be divided into three main geographical regions: Himalayan region, mid hill region and Terai region.
Fun things to do: Nepal is known for adventurous activities such as: mountaineering, cannoning, mountain biking, paragliding, skydiving, jungle safari, kayaking, rafting, bungee jumping, and high-altitude marathon. Out of Fourteen Eight-Thousanders on earth, eight are in Nepal. Eight Thousand refers to those mountains whose elevation ranges higher than Eight Thousand Meters (26,247 feet!!!). There is also almost always some type of festival going on year round because of diversity in ethnic groups.
Prayer:
That the Lord provides perfect timing, the spirit brings creative ways for our team to minister the Gospel to the Nepalese people, the best way to love and create relationships with each person we come in contact with.
